Everytime I’m expecting, my crafty side just itches to come out and my thrifty side pushes it forward! I’ve been itching to make my very own baby sling pouch and finally, just a while ago, I succeeded!!!
When we were pregnant with the 1st, I made a sleeping gown from my hubby’s old shirt, and a reversible bag. I sewed it with my own hand then since that was the only way I knew how to do it. Unfortunately, I just sewed without making patterns and the gown turned out to be too small :). With the 2nd, I tried making mittens and booties… unfortunately, we had to suddenly move out since my brother got chicken pox right before I got to finish the project, 2 weeks before I gave birth. Sniff. Number 3 is coming along and the baby sling pouch seemed to be calling… make me! make me! make me!!! So I spent the better part of my afternoon trying my hand at it using scrap cloth I had lying around.
Next stop, the fabric store. I need to get a good flannel cloth or any stretchable material that is soft enough for bumpini to cuddle in. Hmmm… where to go?
